Some people think Pinterest is all about mason jars, others think its just about ombre glitter nail polish, some even says its about chalkboard paint. I for one know its “the handbook” on how to live a better life. I mean really, sure I find new delicious recipes to try, no biggie, but what I really love is coming across an idea that is so mind bending, so awesome, so “why didn’t I think of that, my life is changed forever”.
That is what Pinterest is all about.
Some of the world’s brightest and most creative minds are on Pinterest. Okay, sure occasionally I’ll be looking through my feed after I’ve been on a pinning binge and I’ll see a few of my pins in a row and go “OMGz, who is this!? She has such amazing taste!” and then I see that it’s me. But for the most part, I am in awe of the ideas that other people come up with. Here are my favorite most helpful and game changing pins of 2012 in no particular order.

Freeze fresh herbs in olive oil, toss in pan when needed. No need to ever waste fresh herbs again!
To get rid of paint fumes… add a tablespoon of vanilla extract to a gallon of paint, mix well. It does not effect paint color! Makes the whole room smell like vanilla when you’re done!
Use a Potato Peeler to get a thin slice of Onion
Simply slide each blade, one at a time, into a pillowcase and wipe off the blade with the inside of the pillowcase. All the dust, dirt, and debris will stay inside. Then simply shake out the case outside and throw it in the laundry.

Seriously, how many buttons could I have saved if I had known this before?! Clear nail polish – if coated onto the threads of a button keeps it from unraveling.
